nice whistles for sale
Burke brass Bb, about 6 years old but not played much, shows the patina of being six years old but sounds fantastic---------$OLD Burke aluminum low G, I bought it used and it's missing the O ring so I wrapped plumber's tape onto the tuning slide and it works perfectly. You can get a new O ring for p...

Re: A whistles
The best "bang for the buck" in A whistles is the Tommy Dion A. It's quality is far above its price range, way better than Susato, IMHO, and into the range of the high end whistles with a low end price. Same for his low G.

Great thread, though. Whistles ARE magic, that's what made me decide to learn to play to start with...the magic I heard in Ireland.

Cool, Riverman. At some point I have an A and a low G coming from Tommy. He makes great whistles.

Tommy Dion is making some excellent wood whistles for well under $250...see thread at http://forums.chiffandfipple.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=67562. Then there's Gene Milligan....see thread at http://forums.chiffandfipple.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=68583 I'll give a happy second to Tommy Dion's w...

That'll be great, Carey, I want one, too!Carey wrote:It's the next whistle on my list! For selfish reasons as well. My fiddler friend likes to sing in Bb, so I'm wanting one too.
I'll post a CP as soon as I have something.
Thanks for the feedback,
Carey

Pretty much anywhere I play is UN-intelligent, not because of the place but because of my playing.

Fantastic pictures - reminded me of the bloke who dances all over the world on You Tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcFq0z26V3w You should set the photos to whistle music and slide show them on YouTube - that would be great. P.S. You beat my castle. Your castle is very cool, Tootler. I didn't be...

Hmmmm, this is a hard one for me. There was the Great Wall of China: http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff16/darvis73/China/102_5288.jpg and a temple in Cambodia (if memory serves, I think it is called Bayon): http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff16/darvis73/Cambodia/100_3794.jpg and the Emporer's S...

Don't feel bad, Dr Phil...we've all been there enough times so that we could have T shirts made saying "We don't have a village idiot. We all take turns."

I think this is an excellent thread - airs are my main interest.
