My L&M bag just started leaking a few weeks ago. It was only 7 years old. I placed a call to L&M and they told me that is the average life expectancy for a bag nowadays. I say sh*t to that.

I would stay away from the velvet. The material is too "slippery" and my velvet bag tended to slide down away from my arm.

I have both the corduroy and micro suede covers and both are equally as good. The corduroy has a slight edge because it is easier to put on and take off of the bag.

I play a right-handed set of pipes and I am experimenting with the use of a shoulder strap. One thing that I am trying to figure out is where/how I attach the strap to the pipes.
