I have a generation D, which plays beautifully. Even though it is me playing!

So I suppose that is a low whistle? Do you mean low price, or low pitch? (I am slow on the uptake...)

Online whistle tutorials

Hello everybody! Just a quick question. Last year I found a really good website, which featured a video clips of a bloke playing the whistle, and talking you through the difficult bits. It started off with ballads and moved onto jigs and reels and so on. Well, last year me computer sound card died a...

Bravo, Chuck! :) Ok, I birthed my daughter a little over three months ago. I had started the pregnancy about 10-15 pounds over what I should have weighed and I gained, *gasp*, 40 pounds during the pregnancy. I lost 20 easily, without trying, A few more trickled off slowly, but I realized I had to d...

Hey, I wish I had read this thread a while ago! I could have given you loads of advice. Whistlers should really visit the North West in England, home to a completely different kind of folk from Celtic, and well worth a listen. And that is coming from an Irish woman!

I have been reading this doom and gloom stuff since the 1950s. Somehow, life has gotten better, life expectancy has increased and the environment has improved. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! Sorry. I have been off the board for a little while, since I have been terribly busy saving the world. (The...

Excuse my ignorance of the issue, but what the hell is a doula? Is it something that hasn't caught on in the UK yet?

I didn't have a jacuzzi, but jaysus, it sounds good! People I know who have had water births tell me they have much less pain. The water supports you (you weigh only a third your normal weight in water) and apparently the babies are happier as well. My little fellah hated baths for ages - if he had ...

i suppose you're a vegetarian witch, plants have spirit too
Yes, indeed they do. However, they don't have nervous systems, central or otherwise, and therefore don't feel pain. Animals on the other hand do -so why cause it?

By the way - I am a vegan witch, and doing fine on it.

Am I the only witch in the world who doesn't think it is respectful to "carry parts of an animals body" so that you can contact its spirit through meditation? You don't need props to meditate, and you don't need gadgets to help you access your spirit animal. I see so many witches and pagan...

I worked in an animal rescue, and you wouldn't believe the harm humans cause dogs. And besides, if you remember that dogs are descended from the wolf, and then look at a chihuahua (is that how you spell it?) it is hard to say that we don't harm them. Most pedigrees have got health problems that we b...

I have a seven year old son who would be much safer if he was never allowed out of my sight. No cars that might knock him down, no evil people who might kidnap him, less of a risk of childhood diseases - he's stop falling out of trees or banging his knees playing football. I could make up for this b...
