Name that Tune

[/quote]Yes, you should know it. It is The Dublin Reel, the best recording of which is on the RTÉ CD "The Return From Fingal".

Name that Tune

Just watching the Art of Uilleann Piping Volume 3 and the tune that is played during the opening scenes is familiar but I do not know the name of the tune. Can anyone help? It is the tune that is being played before Nollaig comes on to open the tutor part.

New K&Q Regulators - New Full Set

Here are the pictures I took of my new K&Q Regulators. David Quinn did an outstanding job and Benedict did the reeding etc. They are great !!! The bottom 2 pics are my original half-set circa 2001. Take a gander at my double-barreled intake on my mouse bellows, Mr. Quinn tried out a new theory/e...

SE Florida Tionol

Joe, my plan is to come to the Tionol, if schedule permits. I have returned to school , night student in Atlanta, to become a pastry chef when I retire in Dec 2007. I should be able to come and get back into piping activities on a regular basis. I sure have missed seeing all my piping friends over t...

Joseph, thanks for posting the pics. The pics are of the bellows Chris made for me. I had told Chris that I was going to post pics and tell everyone what great work he did on them but I did not know how to post pics either. Anyway, to all the forum, the bellows are sturdy, good craftsmanship, and I ...

Snoogie, I can support a Saturday up in Atlanta area but due to job travel on Monday June 7th (for 6 weeks duration over in Hunstville) , I would not be able to go to Knoxville for the weekend, my wife would get very very upset. If I could support Rick and them in Knoxville, I think it would prove b...

John, I'm sure Snoogie and I could be ambassadors of the State of GA for the tionol circuit. We have a few pipers in GA. We are scattered around but the biggest concentration is Atlanta and that would be a great venue for a Tionol.

Sorry about the 'bad' quote with all the pics. I am not used to all the "ins and outs" of posting on the forum.

Pardon my ignorance and thanks to Joe for posting the pics and to DJM for the tip. I was able to get them on my PC.

Brian, thanks for the info. I am a little cautious about removing the rush (copper wire inserted by Benedict K. for tuning) but I will give the bridle a slight movement first and then if that doesn't solve the problem, I'll take out the rush.

opening the elevation on your reed
Brian, sorry about being ignorant concerning this but are you saying "open the reed up" to allow more air to pass through the reed lips or "lift reed up from seat" as to make the reed play flatter?

Bottom D warble

I have searched the forum to find any articles about this and have not seen anything but I am sure someone has had this problem. When I play Bottom D, it warbles or as I think someone put it - auto cran's. This is the only time my chanter has ever done anything like this. I can stop it but it takes ...
