fiddle sheetmusic?

a violinist friend wants to turn to the dark site. i can help her with phrasing, idiom, etc. but does anyone have a suggestion for an ITM sheetmusic collection appropriate for fiddle? or should i just share "pipe friendly tunes" with her?
thanks

my mom says to use a washcloth rather than a piece of foam. to may great surprise, it really does help. i too have not discovered any option that works well for me, though lorenzo's looks great.

i have played their acoustic-electrics. they are sweet. if you are talking about a pure acoustic, i would go with what you can try and hear. if you live in los angeles, there is a carvin store. i am sure there are others.

i am with congrats on this one. if your true goal is fiddle, time with the mandolin is partly wasted(cause you miss the time practicine bowing as you play and you miss dealing with the fretless aspect. why is it not a complete waste? cause not only do you learn a great instrument as has been said, y...

i agree that people finding out how hard it is may be one factor. another is that unlike the fiddle, guitar, etc, you can't get a playable set for a modest price to start out, and then move up to what you really like.instead, you may start out with a fairly expensive practice set, then realize its n...

emm, speaking of which:
did you ever solve your fiddle tuning issues? do you have fine tuners on all the strings? did you ever do planetaries? cause i would think if your peg is still acting up, no intelletouch in the world will help:)

just to throw anothe wrench into the works, back to the ssp, david power played my ssp. it was the first time he held such an instrument. by jumping octaves, he was able to come up with an acceptable accompneiment to almost any irish tune. so with knowledge of the music, it can be done. ssp are chea...

beautiful instrument. bridges are a crap shoot on any particular instrument. all you can do is try. theoretically, any thinner bridge will give you more power. same with lighter.
