Mick O'Brien uses his Rowsome all over "May Morning Dew", if I'm not mistaken, and it sounds mighty. All factors in play, 7k is a very fair price for this set.

Bush and Cheney love to hear that line about how there's no difference between Republicans and Democrats.....if you like the job they've been doing, keep spreading it around.

Don't be influenced too much by the blowhard melodrama that tends to surround Uilleann pipes--that's just something pipers like to keep in circulation to get girls interested in them. Really, they're like anything else, musical or otherwise--to be really good takes lots of time and energy, and if sp...

Oh, sorry, I get it now..."jab' is an acronym for "joke, absent badinage". My mistake. And I promise to work on not taking language and knowledge so seriously.

Because the issue has been raised more than once, I thought I might point out that the language Uilliam is using in his posts is not some freakish contrivance of his own or an attempt to be cryptic or pretentious. It is a phonetically accurate representation of dialect speech and has plenty of prece...

It is a very nicely made tool, cutting bevel very evenly ground. When I bought it from Tim, I thought I remembered him saying that RI was the locale of the manufacturer, but that was a while ago.

He had a nice duet with Jimmy O'Brien Moran on "The Ring Sessions"--maybe there's some more where that came from.

In fact, Mick himself recorded it on "May Morning Dew" under the name "The Strawberry Blossom"--not exactly the tune as recorded on "Kitty Lie Over", but recognisable as a close cousin.

Peter, why not succumb to Ms. Ward's entreaties? Maine is lovely, despite the crazy level of tourism--and, as an Irishman, you'll be used to that anyway. Make it a double threat, bring that pipemaker friend of yours back, too.
