January's anniversuarys

Post by Mack.Hoover »

Six years since my first internet whistle sale. Actually in February
Four years since social security checks started. Actually February, too.
Two Years since first Whitecap sale. Gave away lots prior to the first sale.
New years greetings to all!

Whitecaps have taken on all keys and several colorsl
Black and gray and purple and tan and faux wood and fake bamboo.
They've capped copper and brass and aluminum and plastic and bamboo and wood.
Closet poles, skipoles, tent poles and curtain rods.
Generations, Feadogs, Waltons, Clares, Clarkes, Oaks, Hohners,
and Hoovers.
They don't cap any of the hand made whistles of my fellow smiths, and with one single exception they won't. I feel bad for doing that one.

But wait! There is more than Whitecaps!

So what's the future? Well, going by January 2005's beginning it's bright!

My best to you all!

Congrats, Mack, and thanks for providing several of my favorite whistles.

Cain't hardly wait for Social Security, myself.

Speaking of different colors of Whitecaps, have you done anything with Delrin tubing? (I understand that turning whistles out of the solid stuff isn't all that much fun.)

Congratulations Mack!

Hope you keep it up for many years to come. Is the party at your house?

I forgot one important pole. When the wind destroyed my flag pole, there was enough of it that was straight enough for a whistle. Recycling is patriotic.

Darwin, I do delrin but not the tubing, delighting in doing my own drilling.

Pete, the party is Feb 17 at Bill's for all who share "our" day.

Tell us something.: Long ago, I was told that I faked iTrad whistle work very well. I took that comment to heart. 20 years of private lessons - and many, many hours of rehearsal later - I certainly hope I have improved...

Mack: If I am the 'Bill' you are referring to, you and Pete are welcome. It has always been an honor to share 'our' day.

And congratulations on the anniversaries. Having my daughter be one of the players of an early Whitecap prototype, it makes me glad to see how far that design has gone.

And finally, thank you for providing instruments for me that have given the gift of music to so many people.

Best.

Perhaps it's time I bought a Hoover. Hmmm.

Mack, you can add a Doolin two-piece to your list of whitecap compatibles - what a transformation!
