When this thread first started I was secretly convinced that MurphyStout and ChrisLaughlin were actually the same person.

Since then I've met the good Sir Murphy, and I have never met a finer individual, the man is sound as a pound, a thoroughly good chap. How can this guy reach such a state of personal integrity before he even has the key to the door, when I'm still struggling to control my internal demons when I'm nearly old enough to be his father? Is it because he lives high in the mountains in California, while I reside in a house if tin on a vast red desert plain, just outside Basingstoke?

Anyway, someone that sorted must be up to something, so I'm still on Chris's side.

or was it Jack's?

We DO have deserts, well, one long one running round the coast at least.

We have to keep things small remember, the whole country's only a dozen square miles. We make it seem bigger by arranging traffic jams everywhere.

My particular desert was more cultural.
