Sad news indeed.

I remember "Wanderly Wagon" fondly and I've had the theme song running through my head all through a just finished night shift.
I also remember him being outed has a deserter from the British Army which greatly increased his standing among the Irish people who knew him as an entertainer and puppet master.
Rest in peace boy...
