Ot Auction of Instruments for Jerry O'Sullivan Benefit Fund

Post by Wizzer »

The Auctions are being worked as you read this.
These very generous people have donated some fine Instruments to be Auctioned :

New Seth Gallagher Rosewood keyless flute Donated by Seth:

New Benedict Koehler American Ironwood Chanter with one key and blocks for other. Donated by Benedict Koehler

Copland D Nickel Whistle Donated and played by Bill Ochs

O'Riordan Blackwood/Tulipwood C/D set donated by Mark Johnston

New Sindt soprano D: donated by John Sindt

New 2 Burke Whistles that have been played by Joanie Madden by Mike Burke
We have had a little confusion with the D whistle and Mike Burke has sent us the following communications.
Hi Phil,
I sent Joanie a D Aluminum Narrow bore and a low G Aluminum whistle for Jerry's Fundraiser, so I am confident that this is what it is. It is possible that Joanie might call it a D Aluminum Pro, though.
The inscription on the head will tell you what it really is.
I don't think that there will be a problem, in any case, and if there is a buyer that complains about it, I will exchange the Narrow Bore for the Aluminum Session model if that is what they want. The DAN is our most popular D Aluminum whistle, though and I am sure people will want it.
All the best
Mike

Skip Healy will be donating an instrument yet to be determined.

8 hours of recording time at: Cill Chainnigh Sound, 1308 Sunnyside Ave, Mamaroneck NY 10543- (914)777-2413 donated by John Walsh

If anyone would like to contribute a instrument to the auctions pleases contact me.
The auctions will be on E bay reasonable reserves will be set and we would ask everyone to think of the cause for the auctions as they bid.

Phil Armstrong

edit to change Silver to Nickel

Why not list links to the Ebay auctions themselves?

Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.

Are these items listed yet? I could not find the one or two things that caught my eye.
